fall palette challenge - colette patterns

i am definitely the type of girl who will never finish a project unless i have a deadline...
so you can imagine my excitement when i saw that colette patterns is hosting a fall sewing challenge!

the goal is to choose a color palette and number of garments you wish to sew,
then try to complete them all within 8 weeks. whew!
there are a couple sewing projects i was hoping to finish for fall,
now i have the motivation to finish them!

i'm hoping to make a fun ruffly top using a pretty purple pink silky silly fabric i found at the thrift store,
a new little yellow swing coat using what's left of a gold sheet i used for a skirt a long time ago,
and a cream cardigan sweater with some jersey i also found at the thrift store.
if i end up finished with those before the deadline,
i would love to make a little purple pencil skirt with some piping details.
but i don't want to bite off more than i can chew...

i had a lot of fun making this mood board with pictures i've collected on pinterest,
and am pretty excited now to get sewing!

i hope that you all have a fabulous weekend,
this will be my last three day weekend for a long time
and i'm hoping to get started on some of this sewing!
