i asked ashley to share a little bit about her book -

"I love children's books. I always have. The ones I spent so many hours with as a kid have imprinted themselves on who I am today: my humor, my willingness to explore and imagine, my adoration of meaningful endeavors. This is my first children's book, and while I have said for so many years that I want to write and illustrate children's books, it wasn't until I was with my son one morning looking through my paintings that I realized that now is as good a time as any to really bring to fruition the dreams I've had for so long. I am in the process of writing and illustrating more books and hope to have this first one in print soon."
